We are finishing our first week back from two weeks of winter break! The students have done an amazing job of remembering our schedule, procedures and expectations. We have been purposefully reflecting on different aspects of our learning throughout the week.
On Monday, we reviewed our Hopes and Dreams for the kindergarten year. The reason we are here is to learn. That makes our Hopes and Dreams the main thing we are striving towards. On Tuesday, we reviewed our Class Constitution and Rules. The children created the rules in order to help our Hopes and Dreams come true. We reflected on how the rules help us in our class. Wednesday was all about CARES. CARES stands for Cooperation, Assertion, Responsibility, Empathy and Self-Control. These five things help create a safe and caring class community so our Hopes and Dreams can come true. On Thursday, we reflected on Show Five. This call helps us stop and transition from one learning activity to another. And today we are reflecting on Voice Levels. We use different volumes throughout the day to communicate.
Ask your child about these classroom resources. We have posters and displays to use as a reference as we work to do our best learning together.
