Word Bird Words (Sight Words) Today your child is bringing home their Word Bird and first set of Sight Words! Here is what you need to do: 1. Find a spot for Word Bird that is accessible and visible. 2. Have your child cut their sight words cards. 3. Review the words DAILY. Children may read, spell, and write them (5-10 min.). 4. Date and initial the envelope and send it back to school by Friday of each week. Every Monday, your child will bring home a new set of sight word cards to practice. Keep all the cards in Word Bird’s pocket and see how many words your child learns! We appreciate all you do with your child at home! It is a pleasure to partner with you! EveryoneOn is working to eliminate the digital divide by making affordable Internet, low-cost computers and free digital literacy courses available to all. For example, Comcast offers $9.95 Internet access and a $210 computer to families on free and reduced lunch in my area. http://everyoneon.org/ |
Ms. BedfordI have been teaching for 22 years. When not at school, I enjoy traveling, knitting, and getting together with family and friends. My cat Gilmore brings me laughter with her silly antics. It is a joy to watch children learn and grow during the school year! Archives
