We are learning how to identify cause and effect in reading! This strategy helps us comprehend what we are reading in a book. The children are learning how to use connections to self, another book, or the world to help them recognize the causes and effects. Often, the effect becomes a new cause with it's own effect. This turns into sequencing (another skill we have learned this year). You can work on this skill when you are reading with your child at home! Join us for the fifth annual Community Forum on Race on Saturday, May 19, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Maple Grove Community Center. Highly respected educational expert, Dr. JuanCarlos Arauz, will be the keynote speaker, and participants will connect with community organizations to continue this important work and engage in facilitated conversations about race.
Kindergarten is red for Rainbow Day! Wear something red on Friday, April 20! |
Ms. BedfordI have been teaching for 22 years. When not at school, I enjoy traveling, knitting, and getting together with family and friends. My cat Gilmore brings me laughter with her silly antics. It is a joy to watch children learn and grow during the school year! Archives
