Next week, March 25-29, is our Spring Break! I hope everyone has some fun and gets some rest. Be sure to do plenty of reading. I want to encourage students to write every day. Maybe you could keep a journal of your daily Spring Break activities. Have fun, stay safe, and we will see each other in Apri

We have begun a new science unit! The first investigation focused on balance. The students began by balancing a paper crayfish on their finger. Next, we balanced an arch and triangle on sticks with the help of clothespins (counterweights). Then, we balanced pencils on the sticks. We used wire to attach the counterweights. Finally, we made our very own mobiles that balance, as well as decorate our classroom!
What can you balance????????????? Today report cards went home with students. The children have been working hard and made improvements. Each child has something they need to continue to work on, as well as areas where they are meeting and exceeding the grade level standards. Take some time to go over the report card with your child. We will continue to learn and work over this last trimester so every child grows. We will be doing more challenging work and the expectations will be raised. Together we can make this a successful learning year!
Want to find out about our grade level news and events? Here is our newsletter! Enjoy!
Tomorrow is our last day of the second trimester! The students have been busy learning these past three months. We have taken a moment to reflect on all we have achieved, and look ahead to the final trimester. The students have grown, struggled, have had successes and failures along the way. Through it all, we have remained a community and worked together to learn. We will celebrate tomorrow by having a School Spirit Day and our Eagle Celebration. Students are encouraged to wear a college shirt or their Woodland wear (green & blue). We will end the day as a community and celebrate!

Ms. BedfordI have been teaching for 22 years. When not at school, I enjoy traveling, knitting, and getting together with family and friends. My cat Gilmore brings me laughter with her silly antics. It is a joy to watch children learn and grow during the school year! Archives
