It happened again this week. I flipped the calendar page, put up the new bulletin board, and looked at what was ahead for this new month. I cannot believe that we are already in our third month of kindergarten!
November is a fun month. The students are settling in to our routines. We have gotten to know each other and have made a real community of learners. The children are able to do so much independently. The look of pride on their faces is delightful. With this comes more responsibility and choice. Students are able to own their learning and choose activities that will challenge them to grow. The more responsible they are with this, the more choices they will have. With our fall party, the change in weather, and many holidays and celebrations approaching I like to ask for help from families. Please continue to encourage your children to focus and remind them they are coming here to learn. Excitement is everywhere and I want to channel that excitement into growing them socially and academically. We are one month out from report cards. We will be continuing to check and assess skills. I will be sending home academic skill updates. Sight word homework will be sent home on Mondays. Thank you for all you do! Your encouragement and partnership is making a difference. The growth I have already seen is amazing! |
Ms. BedfordI have been teaching for 22 years. When not at school, I enjoy traveling, knitting, and getting together with family and friends. My cat Gilmore brings me laughter with her silly antics. It is a joy to watch children learn and grow during the school year! Archives
