This opportunity allows students to use their artistic abilities along with basic knowledge of school bus safety to create a colorful and informational poster. All students from all of our schools should be encouraged to participate in this event through their respective schools. Winners will be selected in each of the following categories – PreK-K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9-12 and all special education students.

Submissions: All submissions should be sent to Donna Daley in the Transportation Department at the ESC.
Deadline: Monday, March 16th, 2018. We will then forward onto the state committee in time for their deadline at the end of March 2018.

Rules and Specifications
Who May Enter:
- Any student in a public, parochial or other private school from Grades PreK-12.
Poster Specifications:
- Size must be 11”x17” or 12”x18”. Posters may be illustrated horizontal or vertical.
- Type of poster should be on quality tag, poster illustration board or heavy paper. Construction paper may be used but winning entries must be mounted on quality tag poster. Lamination is not permitted and will disqualify the poster.
- Any type of media can be used such as crayon, felt pen, pencil, colored pencil, etc. However, no wood, plastic, glass or metal, collage material should be used. Glued on pieces will disqualify the poster.
- Poster design may incorporate freehand letters only. Stenciled, pre-printed, manufactured stick-on or press-on letters or tracing may not be used and will disqualify the poster.
- Poster designs may not incorporate any copyrighted characters, photos, and magazine or newspaper illustrations.
- Drawing must be original and the exclusive work of the student entering the contest in idea, design and execution. All artwork should be positive in approach, demonstrating only proper school bus safety behaviors. At least a part of a yellow school bus must be present in the poster.
- To label the poster, be sure to fill out the label provided and securely fasten to the back of the poster only.
Poster Theme:
Every poster and slogan must harmonize with the 2018 poster contest theme and shown exactly as shown below to include all punctuation.
