We have also learned the "Make a Ten" and "Counting On" strategies. We are learning about partners and totals in equations and exploring the relationship between addition and subtraction. During our WIN Time (What I Need), we are going beyond and creating our own partner house books. We are also using our WIN Time to re-teach and practice those standards that we have not yet mastered.
The students began Fastt Math this week. It is a computer program that works on building math fact fluency. We are starting with addition of numbers 0-9. Each child will have at least three opportunities each week to use the computer to practice addition skills.
