We are learning how to read to someone! One of our Daily 5 reading times is read to someone. We created an I chart together. The I is for independence! Ask your child what independence means. They know! We listed what it looks like, sounds like, and feels like to be independent during read to someone time. We also learned about EEKK! Eekk stands for: Elbow, Elbow, Knee, Knee. This is how we sit so we can share a book with someone. The class is cooperating and building our read to someone time together. Here are some pictures of us reading to someone!

I'm not sure there are many things cuter than seeing those littles sitting next to each other reading! Love it!

Ms. BedfordI have been teaching for 22 years. When not at school, I enjoy traveling, knitting, and getting together with family and friends. My cat Gilmore brings me laughter with her silly antics. It is a joy to watch children learn and grow during the school year! Archives
