I want to encourage you to keep practicing sight words at home with your child. I'm starting to re-assess their sight words. It is good to bring out the words they have already mastered to make sure they remember them. If your child already can read them, practice writing and spelling them and encourage him or her to use the word in his or her writing. I've listed the sight words in the more tab in this blog. Knowing these words will help your child read at home and at school!

It has been so fun to watch the reading abilities soar especially when she spots those sight words in books!

The joy on their faces is magical when they recognize their words! I'm so happy to hear you are seeing this at home!

Ms. BedfordI have been teaching for 22 years. When not at school, I enjoy traveling, knitting, and getting together with family and friends. My cat Gilmore brings me laughter with her silly antics. It is a joy to watch children learn and grow during the school year! Archives
