It has been a cold, long winter! With the cold, comes many indoor recess days, and even cancelled school. Because of the interruptions in our school calendar and being inside, it is easy to get a bit stir crazy. This is a great time to review our Woodland Expectations, Classroom Constitution, and Class CARES. We are reviewing each of these in the classroom. Our room should be a safe, caring place for every child to do his or her best learning. Children come to school to learn. It is work. We try to make it as fun and engaging as possible, but at the end of the day, it is work. Our class needs to continue to develop a caring learning environment. Ask your child about our Woodland Expectations, Class Rules, and CARES. They know them and can explain them. They know what they should look like, sound like, and feel like when we are making good choices. Please talk with your child at home about how the choices they make affect others. We need to say words of encouragement and think about others, not just our self and what we want. Thank you for all you do at home to support us!

Ms. BedfordI have been teaching for 22 years. When not at school, I enjoy traveling, knitting, and getting together with family and friends. My cat Gilmore brings me laughter with her silly antics. It is a joy to watch children learn and grow during the school year! Archives
